Born: Boko Haram launches another terrorist attack in Gwoza, Konduga

Suspected Boko Haram insurgents attacked the Izge community in Gwoza Local Government Area, for the second time in less than two weeks, leaving no house behind. It could be recalled that over 200 people were said to have been killed in an earlier attack on the community on January 11, 2004. Sources revealed that farm produce was also destroyed in the village.
Speaking in Maiduguri, Isa Yakubu, a resident of Pulka in Gwoza said, “we do not know the number of casualties but people have been killed.
“During the last attack, they did not destroy properties as they did this time. I wonder what is happening in this country; we are no longer safe anywhere and the situation is growing worse”.
It was also gathered that the attackers also attacked Marari village in Konduga Local Government killing 5 people, while house and shops were also destroyed. Attempt to get security operatives to comment on the continuous killings and destruction of lives and properties did not yield result as the phones of the state Police Public Relations Officer, Gideon Jibril and that of the spokeman of the 7 division Nigerian Army, Col. Muhammadu Dole was out of reach as at time of filing this report.
